This seven level Neuroscience research facility located at Prince of Wales Hospital comprised of doubleheight basement (future CT Scan/MRI and Crash Test facility) Entry, Administration, three floors of PC1 & PC2 laboratories, clinics, cafeteria, and seminar spaces.
The development ties into the existing Neuroscience Research facilities via numerous linkways. The development also interfaces with platform lifts, fire, chilled water, medical gases, security and comms data services.
The project has a 5 star NABERS rating. Features include glazing, glass, special lighting and approved architectural features on the building facade. The Neuroscience Research Precinct project will provide facilities for 700 research staff, incorporating both Neuroscience Research Australia and Randwick Hub partners.
Richard Crookes Constructions was selected to construct this project and has chosen Penetron to assist in protecting the valuable assets within the structure.

Project summary: Stage 1 is a six story building which includes 202 overnight patient beds (medical, surgical, obstetrics and rehabilitation), 12 intensive care units, 9 operating theatres and a 20 cubicle emergency department.
